trepassing has never looked better

For July 4th, we went over to Sarah's house for dinner with the usual gang, Julia, Kevin, and Tiffany. Sarah's mom really outdid herself with the food and the table setting. She even folded the napkins into little flowers and put them into the cups like that.

haha, she's so cute. :D

After dinner, Julia and I set out to do some exploring around Sarah's perfect suburban neighborhood. It's one of those places where all the houses look exactly the same, straight out of the movies; I always get confused going to her place. We found ourselves on this rocky path we've passed by before, way at the start of Julia's 365, almost a year ago. Back then, we were fairly intimidated by the NO TRESPASSING VIOLATORS WILL BE PROSECUTED sign, but now, older and slightly more reckless, we decided "what the hey" and ducked under the yellow railing to explore.

We made our way down the path and this sight greeted us. Straight out of a painting.

Random, mysterious looking moss.

We turn the corner and BAM. This gorgeous picturesque scene greets us, complete with perfect late afternoon lighting and shadows and this absolutely amazing river running through a field of grass. It was unreal. Perfection hidden behind suburban housing. No wonder they tried to keep it from us. And in Jersey of all places.

Pretty fail panorama, but you can see the entire scene. Exactly how it looked.

Badass.

We left the place pretty quick, vowing to return later props and tripods and boots to venture into the field. And partially because the VIOLATORS WILL BE PROSECUTED made me think of backwoods hicks bursting out with rifles to shoots us. Oy, I've been watching one too many cartoons.

We stopped by Julia's place later with the girls to check on her dog and to have some ice cream. Yum. :D

Tiffany has cakeeee. :D

Her house has the coolest light fixture ever in the dining room.

I think I'm getting better at this this whole html thing. Ah, these pictures are a total bitch to put in here. I remember the days of xanga when you just insert the file and it fits. None of this silly pixel stuff. My head hurts from doing proportions and whatnot to figure it out. Too much math.
